MINDSHIFTD came to life in July 2020 when I was encouraged by a dear friend to pursue life coaching.  Stepping into the pandemic was possibly one of the most uncertain and challenging times.  During the life coaching sessions I realised how we all in some form or the other encountered difficulties and required much needed mind care (as well as body and soul care).  Journaling was one of my destress, a quite time to release, honour thoughts and feelings, but most importantly acknowledge and practice gratitude. I read somewhere that gratitude turns what we have into enough and more. Gratitude journaling is a deliberate practice that has immense power to shift the mindset from what is lacking to what is already present and good. Simply being thankful!

Months of nagging my young son to journal as well was becoming a boring exercise for him, staring at a blank page. It was then that I decided to create a journal for kids through writing prompts. These are questions or pictures that will ‘prompt’ them into writing about something new and different. Pictures especially can evoke quite strong emotions and this is a great place to start in exploring thoughts and feelings.  A quite time to pack away digital distractions and put pen to paper.

Be grateful  •  Be honest  •  Be kind.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

“I highly recommend the Mindshiftd Gratitude Journal, it is amazing. Carter, my son is 6 years old and absolutely loves it. He looks forward to doing it every night. It is so wonderful to be able to go through positive focused questions about himself and his daily life. The book is filled with special quotes for kids, cute illustrations and awesome activities like the “did you know” and activities that teach kids zones of regulation and even a calm down breathing activity. Thank you so much Mindshiftd team for this truly special book.”
